Installation Guide

Prerequisites

Unlocked bootloader on your device
Latest official OxygenOS/ColorOS version installed
ADB and Fastboot tools installed on your computer
USB cable and USB drivers for your device
OrangeFox Recovery Image downloaded
ReVork ROM ZIP file downloaded

⚠️ Important:

Flashing custom ROMs will wipe your device data. Backup all important files before proceeding. We are not responsible for any data loss.

Step 1: Enable Developer Options & USB Debugging

Enable debugging mode to communicate with your device via ADB.

Go to Settings → About Phone
Tap Build Number 7 times to unlock Developer Options
Go back to Settings → Developer Options
Enable "USB Debugging" & "OEM Unlocking"
Connect your device to your computer via USB

Step 2: Boot into Fastboot Mode

Restart your device into fastboot mode to prepare for recovery flashing.

Open command prompt/terminal on your computer
Reboot device to bootloader:
adb reboot bootloader
Verify device is detected:
fastboot devices

Tip: If your device is not detected, install the latest USB drivers for your device model.

Step 3: Flash OrangeFox Recovery

Flash the custom recovery that will allow you to install the ROM.

Download OrangeFox Recovery for your device
Place the recovery image in your ADB/Fastboot directory
Flash the recovery:
fastboot flash recovery orangefox.img
Wait for the command to complete

Step 4: Boot into Recovery Mode

Start your device in recovery mode to prepare for ROM installation.

Execute in fastboot:

fastboot reboot recovery

Your device will boot into OrangeFox Recovery. Use volume buttons to navigate and power button to select.

Step 5: Format Data & Wipe Cache

Clean your device to prepare for the ROM installation.

In OrangeFox Recovery, select "Wipe" option
Select "Format Data" (this will erase all user data)
Confirm when prompted
Go back and select "Wipe Cache Partition"

Critical:

Format Data will permanently delete all files. Make sure you have backed up everything important.

Step 6: Sideload ReVork ROM

Transfer and flash the ROM file to your device.

In OrangeFox, select "Advanced" → "ADB Sideload"
Your device is now ready to receive the ROM file
On your computer, execute:
adb sideload revork-rom.zip
The transfer will begin (this may take 5-15 minutes)

Important: Do not disconnect your device during sideload. If progress stops at 47%, this is normal.

Step 7: Reboot Your Device

Complete the installation and boot into your new ROM.

After sideload completes, select "Reboot System Now"
Your device will reboot (first boot takes 2-5 minutes)
Enjoy your ReVork ROM! You're all set.

Troubleshooting

Device Not Detected

Ensure USB debugging is enabled, USB drivers are installed correctly, and try a different USB port. You may need to manually install device drivers from your manufacturer's official website.

Sideload Fails

Verify your ROM ZIP file is valid and not corrupted. Re-download the ROM and try again. Ensure your device is properly connected and recovery mode is active.

Stuck on Boot Animation

This is normal on first boot. Wait at least 5 minutes before assuming failure. If truly stuck, return to recovery and ensure you wiped data correctly before reflashing.
